AMJAD. AL-ARQAN

I build the interface, and the system behind it.

Web products and systems for Arab businesses and nonprofits: stores with local payments, SaaS platforms, management systems, and AI agents that answer customers.

Wendow

E-commerce platform · Palestine

The brief

Palestinian merchants want to sell online, but most store builders don't support the payment methods people here actually use.

What I built

  • A store builder: a merchant signs up and gets an Arabic storefront on their own link within minutes.
  • Local payment gateways ready at checkout.
  • A merchant dashboard for products, orders and sales, with AI tools that speed up selling.

Stack

  • Laravel
  • React
  • Inertia
  • MySQL

Tadafuq

WhatsApp automation SaaS · Saudi Arabia

The brief

Businesses in Saudi Arabia sell and support customers on WhatsApp, and messages pile up faster than a team can answer.

What I built

  • An AI agent that answers customers around the clock, recommends products, books appointments and qualifies leads.
  • One shared inbox where staff take over from the agent when a person is needed.
  • Roles for staff and managers, and two business modes: orders or appointments.

Stack

  • Node.js
  • React
  • WhatsApp API
  • AI agent

Screens from the Tadafuq mobile app: inbox, an AI-answered chat, and the agent.

ICBT Hub

Conference platform · EuroMid Academy

The brief

EuroMid Academy runs several international conferences, and each one needs its own site, programme and paper submissions.

What I built

  • A hub that gives every conference its own site: tracks, keynote speakers, important dates and registration fees.
  • Call for papers and registration for virtual and in-person attendance.
  • A Filament admin panel to run every conference from one place.

Stack

  • Laravel
  • Filament
  • Multi-site

Foamy

On-demand car wash · Saudi Arabia

The brief

Getting a car washed means driving somewhere and waiting. Foamy brings the wash to the car.

What I built

  • iOS and Android apps: pick a package, set the time and place, and book.
  • Wash packages and bundles, from a 3-wash morning plan to a 15-wash premium plan.
  • The Laravel backend and admin panel behind both apps.

Stack

  • Laravel
  • iOS
  • Android

Nabd نبض

Open-source Mac app · Free

What it is

A free, open-source macOS menu bar app that shows the Mac's temperature, CPU, memory and power draw, and keeps Claude Code sessions in check.

What I built

  • Live readouts in the menu bar, including power from the wall split into the Mac, battery charging and charger loss.
  • A view of every Claude Code session: CPU, memory, MCP servers and heaviest process, with idle sessions flagged.
  • A guard that pauses the heaviest session when the CPU stays at your limit, and continues it when the machine calms down.

Platform

  • macOS
  • Menu bar
  • CLI
  • MIT

    I'm Amjad Al-Arqan, a full-stack developer and co-founder of Eight Plus.

I build web products for Arab businesses and nonprofits, and I have spent more than three years working inside nonprofit organizations. I work on the whole thing: the interface people touch, the system that runs behind it, the admin panel the team uses every day, and the servers that keep it all running. Then I write about what I learn, for Arab developers.
